Hardcore History- Logical Insanity Podcast

How soon we forget the mistakes of our past. I find it challenges my credulity that in many cases, if anything is learned at all, it is learned at best one nation at a time, and nations throughout the humanity continue to take these heinous approaches to power struggles, global, local, or civil. I don't think its a matter of "first world nations" having gotten the space to make these mistakes. These are mistakes we have made, and are making, as a species against ourselves.

We made mistakes in the first and second world wars of blindness, of distance, of disassociation. We still do, all over the world, and we progressively grow more callous as human beings toward violence committed by our own hands against other human beings. As people, we allow cultural delusions to desensitize us against murder, such as labels. We dehumanize our opponent, call them Westerners, Americans, Jihadists, terrorists, Muslims, Christians, etc.; it is that easy. Labels are used as license to kill millions of people, world wide, all the time.

Think about that the next time you use one.
